The plans
A plan buys assistant actions: analyses, web research, pattern discovery, weekly reviews, proofreads, drafts, letters and conversations with the assistants. An action is only counted once the work starts, and the count begins again on the first of each month.

Prices and allowances are the ones shown on the plan page when you buy, and those are the terms of your purchase. What counts as one action, and what is free for everyone, is set out on the usage and limits page.
How paying works
- Pay by card through Base44 Payments. Card details are handled by the payment provider, never by ThoughtStream Lab.
- Choose monthly, yearly, or once for good. A yearly plan costs two months less than paying monthly for the same year.
- Change plan at any time. A change takes effect from the point the plan page says, and a switch into a new plan starts when the period you have paid for ends.
- Cancel whenever you like. Your plan stops renewing, your access runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account returns to the free allowance.
- A lifetime plan has no renewal and nothing to cancel.
- Whatever your plan, everything you have written stays readable and exportable.
Gifts
ThoughtStream Lab is often something people give rather than buy. There are two ways to do it. Either way the gift is put on the other person's account, so there is nothing for them to claim and nothing for them to remember.
Give a plan to someone else
Choose the tier and how long it runs, and pay for it here. A code is emailed to you the moment the payment clears: hand it over in person, or have us send it straight to them. They claim it on their own account in a moment.
Give a stretch of unlimited use
A pass turns the meter off for a set number of months: every action, as often as they like, with nothing counted. It suits someone who wants to use the assistant properly before choosing a plan, or someone heading into a busy stretch. Worth asking us for.
